We decided to order English to French translation agency service. Our 700-word document cost us $107, which is around $0.15 per word. Apart from the standard $0.15 per word, there are more advanced options. You can opt for translation plus proofreading by another specialist, which would cost $0.19 per word. 

Also, there is a specialist translation for specific industries by experts in the field. It costs $0.18 per word. Plus, if you want to expert-proofread such a document, it will cost you $0.21 per word. In the end, you can pay even more if you order a less frequent language pair, for example Portuguese to English translation or Canadian French to English services. These are high translation service fees, as it’s above market average. We opt for standard translation, as Absolute specified it would be written and proofread by different professionals.

There are four levels, so you can opt for double proofreading or industry-specific documents that connect you to an expert. However, pricing is still very high, with $0.15 per word being the lowest.

Still, if we dig deeper, it turns out that quality is pretty low. This service is fast, but quite often it provides poor quality service. Our English to French document wasn’t well-translated, so we can’t say it’s top translation company for this language pair. We found many customer reviews that had the same experience. 

We think that machine translation was involved because there were mistakes of mechanical matter. For example, one word was substituted by another for no reason. Any human translator would have noted that. Also, there were misspelled names and titles, which we think is a sign of machine name transcription services. For this Absolute Translation review, we weren’t satisfied with quality. We still think that this is the most important part of the company's operation, so we cannot recommend this service, especially counting the fact that it’s overpriced.
