Acclaro.com review
This latest Acclaro review is a direct result of your wishes, our dedication, and several weeks of research. We always seek to recommend the best medical document translation services or top business translators to our readers, and this time, Acclaro caught our attention. This company has been working for over 20 years, which is a solid experience anyone would find impressive. It positions itself as a localization agency, meaning that it deals with specialized translation where cultural nuances play a central role.
Acclaro.com has offices in different parts of the world, from the US to France, England, Thailand, Japan, and Argentina. It offers its contact details right on its website, so you could get in touch with it in various ways. We scrutinized the Internet in search of reviews about it, but we didn’t find many. Most of them come from translators and they are positive. Clients left just a couple of mixed comments. We didn’t know what to expect, and this made our translating journey even more intriguing.
First Helpful Point from Acclaro Review: Translation Services
To offer our visitors respectable French, Italian, as well as Arabic translation companies for affordable prices, we try to make our reviews comprehensive. Our team starts with answering basic questions, and one of them is, what kind of services could a client order in Acclaro? The company supports 125 languages, including such rare combinations that took us aback. We liked its rich diversity. Its services are more limited, but they still cater to the biggest demands.
- Translation. We didn’t find any information about Acclaro providing certified translation. Acclaro reviews didn’t mention it either. But you could hire translators in different spheres, ask for help from localizers, or even order machine work. Normally, we don’t like the latter option, but it might be useful for people who don’t want to pay much and who need to make text understandable on the most basic level.
- Editing. Aren’t certain about the quality of your text? Hire an additional team of editors. They’ll comb through it repeatedly and fish out even the smallest mistakes.
- Transcreation. If you have a project that uses unique language elements that cannot be translated directly, transcreation is what you need, and you could get it with Acclaro com. It has creative experts who will transform your slogans, logo, or any other catchy content in a way that will awe your target audience.
- Interpretation. You could hire an interpreter who could accompany you to any meeting, join you during a phone conversation or Skype session. You’ll have to discuss the details of the location with operators.
Overall, we liked what services Acclaro offered. If you need certified translation services in NYC you could rely on, we have some suggestions, but if you need localization or interpretation, Acclaro could help you out. We hired translators to see their work personally. Our project was in the accounting field and our chosen deadline was 16 days.
Prices at Acclaro & How Loyal They Are
We saw no specific prices neither in Acclaro reviews nor on its website, and it’s unfortunate. We believe that each translation company should demonstrate how much it charges — even an approximate online quote would suffice. Customers need to understand whether their budget would be able to take this particular hit without wasting their time & waiting for someone to reply to them personally.
From our experience, Acclaro overcharges its customers. We had to pay $0.17 per word, and this is outrageous. We understand that popular services enjoy the prestige of long history, but some prices are just too high. There is no justification for it. We also got no discounts for our order despite being first-time customers.
The Center of Acclaro Review: Quality
Quality means everything to every client. It’s one of the main reasons why people are searching for the best companies and reading our website. We were curious about Acclaro because we couldn’t make any solid conclusions from the reviews we saw. They were few and they expressed mixed thoughts: some clients appreciated these translators, while others criticized them and claimed they are underqualified.
Our project wasn’t there when we expected it. Managers contacted us and told us our translator is late because of some unforeseen circumstances. We understand that problems might happen, but this is still unprofessional. When we finally got it, we felt a little underwhelmed. Translation wasn’t bad, but it was hardly impressive. It would benefit from some polishing. Sure, we didn’t pay extra for editing, but it doesn’t mean that it’s okay to produce content without proofreading it at all. We asked translators to revise it, but our request was rejected — we were offered to make a payment for a separate editing order. Our impressions were closer to negative than positive.
Summary of Our Findings
For those who have no time to read the entire review of Acclaro, we suggest taking a look at the list below. It has strong and weak sides we noticed when placing our order. This is what we concluded:
Pros
- Respectable company with great experience. Two decades is a long time, and Acclaro boasts of having numerous clients and an impressive portfolio.
- Many languages covered. The company supports 125 languages — you are almost guaranteed to find what you need.
- Adequate translators. These people managed to translate content in a comprehensive way — we had no questions regarding accuracy.
Cons
- No free editing. Bad editing was a serious issue with translation we got. Mistakes and constructions that didn’t seem natural were in too many places.
- Revision rejection. When we asked translators to improve their work, our request was denied. Managers told us to pay for additional editing if we wanted better content.
- Overblown prices. You’ll be paying much more here than you would in other similar companies.
- Late project delivery. Translators were late with our order. The delay was bearable, but it shouldn’t happen at all, especially so late in the game.
Final Thoughts and Acclaro Rating
Acclaro: is it reliable? After discussion, every member of our team decided that it deserves 3.5 stars. It’s not the worst company, but you could find much better options, too. It offers a good range of services and its experience is impressive, but its translators can be late with their projects; they are not entirely fluent and you’d have to pay too much for your order.
Perhaps it’ll employ higher standards of quality in the future and we’ll review our grades. For now, if you need USCIS translation from experts or any other language assistance, search for other lists on our site. We have many recommendations for every sphere of interest and for specific languages. Stay with us and get the freshest info on reliable translating services!
User Reviews
Our company recently used this translation agency for localization, and we are deeply disappointed with the result. Despite their claims of localization experience, the quality of their translations was consistently below par. We encountered numerous inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the localized content, which negatively impacted our brand image. Project management was disorganized, with missed deadlines and poor communication. Our experience with this translation agency left us disappointed and questioning their professionalism. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend their services for localization given our unsatisfactory experience.
How can this service be trustworthy after what they did? The translations are of very low quality and contain numerous mistakes and inconsistencies. The staff is unresponsive and did not help me with my issue. Despite their promises to fix the situation, nothing was ever done to improve the quality of the translations. I would strongly recommend not using this service for any translation needs.
I've never seen such terrible service in my life.
The service is horrible. I have order a translation of birth certificate for the USICS submission on the 1st of May. They have promised to send the completed document the next day and charged me big. I have received the translation only 48 hours later and got no refund. This is scam!
