Summary of GTS Translation Review

GTS Translation is a fairly known translation company that spent almost 20 years in this market. Despite having been operating for such a long term, it doesn’t have an abundance of reviews about the quality of its services. We found this fact intriguing. Since it can be interpreted in different ways, we launched our own investigation. Namely, our quality assurance team decided to conduct an experiment. First, we read through the available reviews of GTSTranslation’ customers, evaluating the points they outlined. Then we placed our own order. Since they claim to specialize in written translations, in particular, we’ve tasked it with translating a text and some images within it from English to German. 

Range of Prices

GTS Translation doesn’t advertise its prices as openly as we would have preferred. It means that customers would have to look through its site before they find the section with information they need. Even then, prices are approximate. For example, you can see that French technical translation services or Portuguese translations cost $30 per page, but there is no info about other languages, whether they have Polish, Japanese, Arabic translator, or types of work. If you want to find it, you should delve even deeper into the website or request a quote in accordance with their recommendations. This process could be rather time-consuming, so if you need help urgently and are on a limited budget, you might want to look elsewhere.

All in all, we’ve established that at GTS-Translation price generally starts with $32 for one page, which is above such industries’ average. The difference is not significant, but if your project is large, every cent is going to count.

Speed of Delivery

GTS Translation review promised speedy and timely delivery, and they fulfilled this promise to a T. We’ve discussed dates in advance and our specialist adhered to them strictly. They informed us after project was completed and told us that we can download it. Discussions themselves were polite and professional, so we had the best impression of the company’s employees.  

Translation Quality

Company swears that its translators employ only human translation, with no machine forms of it practiced. After a thorough evaluation conducted by our own specialists, we determined that it’s not quite true. The level of accuracy was moderately high, but some mistakes were clearly of automatic nature. In addition, there was a disaster with formatting of sentences and images, with some words being split and distances between them being too wide. A human expert couldn’t notice it, so we had to conclude that after translating the document, they didn’t do any kind of editing.  

Customer Satisfaction Package

From the available reviews, we could see that many GTS-translation.com clients complained about formatting of their info sheets as well as documents, and after our own experience, we have to admit they were right. This is a drawback of the firm because despite receiving complaints, it keeps ignoring this issue. We asked for a revision, and attitude of managers and translators changed very quickly. They didn’t deny us, but they weren’t exactly polite about it either. Revision itself wasn’t ideal and many more problems were left, including with formatting. If we needed our project for professional purposes, we’d have to either spend a lot of time reformatting it or pay someone else to do it. So, degree of our satisfaction isn’t high, even though translation itself was pretty good.

GTS Translation has an option of a certified translation service, which is a definite advantage. If you need certification, you could receive it here. This firm follows ISO 17100:2015 standards, but if you are interested in a top-quality in every aspect, it might be better to choose another online service.

Final Rating

GTS Translation is a worthy company, but it has a set of many problems that remain unaddressed despite the clients repeatedly mentioning them. We were more or less pleased with the quality and accuracy of translation, but some parts were clearly done through the software, and no editing was provided. That’s why we give it only 3 stars. If you want flawlessness and politeness on every level, this might not be the best choice.
