Day Translations, at first glance, appears to be a professional translation service. It has published policies on its site; it boasts thousands of translators for any language whatsoever; and it provides 24/7 service. To produce this Day Translations review, we accessed all of the links and reviewed all site content. We also sought out reviews and feedback on other review sites and social media. Finally, we spoke with the customer service department, asking detailed questions, and placed an order for a blog post translation. These are the results of our review.
Services Offered
Day Translations offers all types of translation services – legal, medical records, business, academic records, they translate documents for USCIS, immigration and government documents, including certified translations. It has offices around the globe and can offers translation services in Boston, document translation services in NYC, Paris, Shanghai, and many other cities.
Other services include phone and in-person interpretation, transcriptions of audio, video and interviews, localization services for websites and other copywriting content, and web design and development.
Obviously, this is a full-service translation, and it states that all services are human-only, not machine involvement.
Prices and Add-Ons
The company has a process of obtaining a free quote for a project. When we clicked the link to get that free quote, however, it took almost 5 minutes to load. We then entered our information for the quote and were told that it could not be immediately provided. The message stated that we would be emailed our quote within 10 minutes. That did not happen. When we did receive our quote, we found pricing for the product and the 7-day deadline was within the average range. But clearly, this process needs to be cleaned up.
There is a discount. Customers who establish accounts with the company receive a 5% lifetime discount program. There is also an affiliate program that will provide cost reductions for every recommendation made that results in an order.
Quality of Service
Quality of service includes everything from website information and navigation, to customer service, to responsiveness to order placement, to communication between customer and translator, and, in the end, the product that is delivered.

This website needs some repair. It takes far too long for the order form to load. Further, the link for “Contact Us” has options for giving feedback, discounts, and the affiliate program. Contact information can eventually be found at the bottom of the home page. This does not look professional at all.

The reviews and feedback we found on the web were mixed. While some customers seemed to be satisfied, there were complaints about changed meanings and inability to translate humor correctly.

Another concern was the claim that anything could be translated to any language on the planet. This is not the case, as we discovered when we contacted customer service. Only 51 languages are listed on the site.

Not providing a quote within the promised time-frame is unprofessional. We waited almost two hours for a quote.

The product we received which we then have reviewed by a native of the target language, showed some word usage errors and a few grammatical mistakes. For human translation services, this should not happen.
Summary
Day Translations has a website that “promises the moon.” According to its content, anyone can get any type of translation services in any language whatsoever. This is not the case. We cannot say that this is one of the best French translation companies or that they have the best industry experts.
The site itself has problems and needs repair. The difficulty we had in receiving a simple quote for a simple blog post should not have occurred.
Reviews of product quality are clearly mixed.
Overall, we have assigned a rating of “Fair” to this agency.

Although I initially had a positive impression of this translation service, my recent experience has left me somewhat disappointed. The customer support was friendly and helpful during the ordering process, but unfortunately, they failed to deliver the translation within the agreed-upon deadline. Furthermore, the quality of the translation was subpar, with noticeable inaccuracies and inconsistencies throughout the document. While I acknowledge that no service is perfect, the combination of missed deadline and low-quality translation has left me hesitant to use their services again in the future.
